I'm hoping some Maserati owners can give me some advice. A warning light recently came on in my car, and I'm not sure whether I should stop driving it immediately or get it checked first.
The car seems to be driving normally, which is why I'm a little confused about how seriously I should take the warning. With one of my previous cars, a warning light ended up being something relatively minor, but I don't want to make that assumption with a Maserati.
My biggest question is where I should take it for diagnosis. I could go to a general mechanic, but I'm concerned they may not have the proper diagnostic equipment or enough experience working with Maserati vehicles.
I'm in Houston and have been looking into Maserati Service Houston options. I also came across Maserati repair services at Helfman Maserati , which has a service department specifically for Maserati vehicles. I'm considering taking the car there, but I wanted to hear from owners first.
If you've had a warning light come on in your Maserati, what did you do? Did you get it diagnosed immediately, or did you wait to see whether another symptom appeared?
Also, when taking the vehicle in for diagnosis, should I ask them to perform a complete inspection at the same time? Mine is a pre-owned vehicle, so I'm thinking it might make sense to have everything checked while it's already at the service center.
I'd appreciate any advice on what I should ask the service advisor and what information I should provide when I bring the car in.
I'm mostly trying to avoid turning a small issue into a much bigger repair simply because I waited too long or took it somewhere that wasn't familiar with the vehicle.
